Dr. Mason Richlen, PT, DPT

Mason Richlen grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI. He then went to the University of Minnesota and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology. While going to school, he gained experience working with high-performers through various internships in different sports and at different age-levels. Additionally, he spent several years coaching Weightlifting and CrossFit, the former of which he competed in for 6 years at a national level.

Continuing his education, Dr. Richlen returned to the University of Minnesota where he completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is most interested in melding efficiency, health, and performance. With this unification, he believes the most optimal route can be attained for those pursuing a high performance lifestyle that goes beyond just athletes, and addresses those looking to maximize quality of life, longevity, and function.

He currently lives in St. Paul, MN, with his wife. In his free time he enjoys training, recreational sports, learning new skills and disciplines (currently economics), and reading research to maintain a place at the frontlines of validated innovation in the fields of health and performance.

Dr. Eric Niemyer, PT, DPT

Eric Niemyer was born in Bismarck, ND, but his family moved to Duluth, MN soon after where he spent his childhood. After recognizing his own desire to understand the human body, movement, performance, and rehabilitation at a deeper level, he went on to attend St. Catherine University where he would earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2021. His passion for the field of physical therapy is strong and centered around an evidence-based approach to ensure patients receive the most up-to-date, well supported, and efficacious treatments possible.

He currently lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife and rescue dog, Roux. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, golf, skiing, ice hockey, hiking, binge watching TV shows, and reading academic research related to physical therapy.

How We Work:

1) Free Consultation

Our free consultation is designed to assess your current situation and determine if physical therapy is the most appropriate option. If you would be best seeing a different health care provider, we will be able to refer you to the correct specialist and speed up the time-line of getting you the help you need.

2) Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation is aimed at assessing your current condition and making a proper diagnosis. This will include gathering a detailed history of your injury as well as a thorough hands on examination. Typically, treatment will start during that first session so we can get the rehab process started as soon as possible.

3) Keeping you in your sport

Our physical therapists take a unique approach. We treat you without removing you from the sport or activity you enjoy where possible. This is made possible by collaborating with coaches and trainers both inside and outside of Los Campeones Gym to ensure all bases are covered from a recovery and rehab standpoint. Finally, we offer each patient our direct email and phone lines to ensure they have 24/7 access in case questions or issues arise prior to the following visit, allowing us to make rehab program modifications more efficiently and reduce the amount of time needed for rehabilitation.
